Cessna SkyCourier Specs, Cockpit, Interior, and Price – Cessna SkyCourier is a new, high-wing twin-engine turboprop, and a large utility aircraft developed by Textron Aviation. Scheduled to enter service in 2020, aircraft are available in cargo and passenger versions for high utilization operations. SkyCourier cargo version is designed for FedEx Express, while the passenger version offers the capacity to transport up to 19 passengers or 2,722 kg of cargo.

Cessna SkyCourier has a high-wing monoplane design, which integrates the T-tail empennage configuration. The clean-sheet design will provide superior cabin flexibility, payload capability and performance with low operating costs. The passenger plane was designed to carry up to 19 passengers and two pilots. It also displays a digital cockpit.

Designed specifically for revenue services, the cargo version is equipped with a built-in roller system and a rigid cargo barrier. Double crew doors and separate rear passenger doors will allow the crew and passengers to easily access the aircraft.

The aircraft has a length of 16.71 m (54 feet 10 inches), a wingspan of 72 feet (21.95 m) and a height of 6.02 m (19 feet 9 inches). Maximum payload capacity of commuter variants and passengers is 5,000lb (2,268kg) and 6,000lb (2,722kg) respectively.

Cessna SkyCourier is powered by two PT6A-65SC engines supplied by Pratt & Whitney Canada. The engine can produce a maximum thrust of 1,100 hp. The engine is joined to two four bladed Blackmac full-aluminum propellers supplied by McCauley. The reversible propeller will produce high performance and reliability with low operating costs.

PT6A engines can improve aircraft performance and reliability, while minimizing fuel consumption. A versatile PT6A engine designed with aerodynamic technology and innovative materials to develop additional power without increasing its size. The ability to refuel single point pressure on cargo and commuter aircraft further results in faster rotation.

Cessna SkyCouriercan fly with a maximum cruise speed of 200 kt (370km / j) and reach a maximum height of 25,000 feet (7,620 m). The aircraft takeoff length is 3,300 feet (1,006 m). The maximum variant of the passenger variant is 900mi (1,667 km), while the cargo variant can reach a range of 400mi (741km) with a load of 2,268 kg.

In a cargo configuration, SkyCourier displays a flat floor cabin, which can accommodate three LD3 shipping containers. Container loading and pallets are facilitated through a large 87in x 69in cargo door, which offers low door height.

The price of the latest Cessna SkyCourier is around US $ 5.5 Million. FedEx Express orders 100 SkyCourier aircraft, including strict orders of 50 cargo planes and options for 50 more aircraft.
