Bombardier Learjet 70 Specs, Interior, Range, Cockpit, and Price – Bombardier Learjet 70 is a medium business jet that is being developed by Bombardier. The aircraft was launched at the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva in May 2012. The aircraft is being built along with Learjet 75 at a facility in Wichita, Kansas, USA. Bombardier Learjet 70 is an improvement from the Learjet 40XR aircraft and includes certain unique changes such as the addition of new winglets to improve efficiency and performance.

Bombardier Learjet 70 aircraft has a length of 55.56 feet (16.93 m), height of 14.13 feet (4.31 m), wingspan of 45.8 feet (13.96 m) and wingspan of 311.6 feet² (28.95 m) m²). Bombardier Learjet 70 has takeoff and landing distances of 4,230 feet (1,289 m) and 2,660 feet (811 m), respectively.

The maximum takeoff weight is 21,000 lb (9.525 kg), the maximum landing weight is 19,200 lb (8,709 kg) and the maximum ramp weight is 21,250 lb (9,639 kg). The zero fuel weight is 16,000 lb (7,257 kg), while the standard basic operating weight is 13.715 lb (6,221 kg).

Bombardier Learjet 70 is powered by two TFE731-40BR machines manufactured by Honeywell. This results in a higher thrust with simple fuel consumption, the maximum thrust of takeoff is 17.1kN (3,850lbs). Each engine is equipped with an independent wing tank fuel system and the fuel is transferred to both wing tanks automatically.

This aircraft has a high cruise speed of 860 km / h (535 mph) and long distance speeds of 801 km / h (497 mph). The aircraft's maximum operating height is 51,000 feet (15,545 m) and the maximum range is 2,060nm (3,815 km).

Bombardier Learjet 70 business jet cabin can comfortably accommodate six passengers and two crew members. The cabin has a length of 17.67 feet (5.39 m), width of 5.12 feet (1.56 m), height of 4.92 feet (1.50 m), and total volume of 410 feet (11.61 m,). It features a seating club-front formation for six passengers.

Passenger facilities include a 7in touch screen display in seats with full audio and video controls, a 12.1in high definition (HD) monitor, an audio system with hidden trim panel speakers, an iPod interface and an HD and ethernet backbone. Other facilities include 20 on the executive desk, stern toilet, lighted makeup mirror and sink.

Bombardier Learjet 70 is equipped with the Garmin G5000 Vision flight deck. The avionics suite includes three high resolution 14in widescreen displays, a touch screen controller and a synthetic vision system. These include paperless cockpits, graphic flight planning and solid weather radar.

It also includes surface awareness systems, digital audio systems, and datalink capabilities that reduce pilot workload. Two digital air data computers are also included to track aircraft operating parameters.

The sophisticated environmental control system (ECS) on top of the Bombardier Learjet 70, with two zone controls for the cabin and cockpit, offers optimal control of the aircraft environment. The aircraft is also equipped with dual GPS WAAS with localiser performance with a vertical guide (LPV) and the required navigation performance approach (RNP).

The price of the latest Bombardier Learjet 70 aircraft is US $ 11.3 Million. Bombardier received the first strict order from Flexjet for three Bombardier Learjet 70 aircraft in July 2012.
