Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner Specs, Interior, Engine, Seats, and Price

Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner Specs, Interior, Engine, Seats, and Price  Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner is the newest and longest member of the family of super efficient 787 commercial aircraft, launched officially at the 2013 Paris Air Show at Le Bourget, France, in June 2013. As part of the 787 family, the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner utilizes proven technology, long range range, and selected passenger experience, with fuel efficiency and 10 percent emissions.

In January 2018, the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner was certified by the FAA after testing 900 hours of flight. Boeing received its production certificate on February 15. It was first sent to launch Singapore Airlines customers on March 25 2018. Equipped with 337 seats, 36 in business and 301 in economy, the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner starts commercial services on April 3, 2018. Shipment of the first Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner first 2018.

The biggest advantage of the new Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner is its fuel efficiency. The aircraft uses 25 percent less fuel per passenger compared to aircraft of the same size and 10 percent more fuel efficient than competitors. The Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner was built with a sophisticated one barrel composite fuselage and strong design, all Dreamliner aircraft cut operating costs by 15 percent and maintenance costs by 30 percent. Fewer scheduled improvements mean more airtime and ultimately more revenue.

Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner Capacity and Seats

The Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner is the longest of the Dreamliner family with a length of 224 feet, 18 feet longer than 787-9 and can carry 330 passengers (it's 88 more than 787-8 and 40 more than 787-9). It also has a cargo volume almost doubled (41 percent) from 787-8 and 15 percent volume greater than the 787-9. Increased cargo capacity is the main source of income.

Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner has a cross section of 574cm, wingspan of 60m, length of 68m and height of 17m. The maximum takeoff weight is 252,651 kg and the total cargo volume is 175m3. In the standard configuration, it will accommodate 323 passengers, which is 33% more than the capacity of 787-8 and 15% more than the 787-9.

Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner is designed with a strong and lightweight composite, the most sophisticated system, and features a comfortable cabin. The main technology behind the lighter weight of all Dreamliner aircraft is the use of composite materials that make aircraft structures lighter, simpler, improve aircraft efficiency, reduce fuel consumption and reduce costs and heavy-based maintenance.

The aircraft incorporates a unique one-piece composite barrel and an all-composite wing structure that integrates small fairing and scraped wing tips. Single-piece barrel construction effectively removes all longitudinal skin splices to reduce weight and maintenance costs. This also avoids the fuselage's lap connection, multipliers and overlapping of the skin, resulting in lower maintenance inspections.

The wing structure of the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner is made of composite materials such as carbon laminate and carbon sandwiches, providing a higher aspect ratio, which, combined with sweeping wing tips that increase efficiency, allows the aircraft to reach maximum cruising speeds up to Mach. 0.85 with less fuel consumption. Simple trailing-edge pivot flaps offer fewer parts and ensure a much smaller fair-track fair-track, resulting in efficient lift-to-drag characteristics for reduced fuel consumption and costs.

Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner Engine

Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner are powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 or GE Aviation GEnx-1B engines. The Trent 1000 engine will produce a maximum thrust of 78,000 lbf, while the GEnx-1B will provide a maximum takeoff jump of 76,100 lbf.

GEnx engines include high-pressure compressors and twin-annular pre-swirl combustors, as well as lightweight and durable composite materials. They display 3D aerodynamics in low-pressure turbines and are the first to use Ti Aluminide blades.

The Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner offers a 60 percent reduction in noise footprint, and averages between seven and eight decibels calmer during departure and up to three decibels calmer on arrival, according to the UK Civil Aviation Authority.

Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner Cabin Interior

The Dreamliner aircraft is designed to offer a quieter cabin experience, equipped with quieter air conditioning and advanced technology that isolates sound from vibrations in the sidewall and ceiling and reduces engine noise. The comfortable feel of the cabin is reinforced by soft LED lighting. This can be adjusted according to flight modes such as riding, flight, relaxing, serving food, sleeping and pre-landing. The cabin height is pressed to a maximum level of 6,000 feet to 2,000 feet lower than most other aircraft.

The Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner has a spacious and comfortable cabin, with large windows that can be dimmable, soft LED lighting that can be adjusted, and facilities to introduce clean and healthy air, can be found on the plane. Featuring domed ceilings and adjustable LED lighting, Dreamliner jets are wider than other aircraft of the same shape, provide a broad feel and offer more personal space for passengers, including larger bins that can hold four full sized cabin suitcases .

An adjustable window allows passengers to adjust the intensity of incoming light from outside. They are equipped with an electrochromic dimming system, which changes the color of the window from fully transparent to fully dim.

The Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner was built with the same powerful technology used to clean the air in the hospital operating room. High-tech air purification systems eliminate contaminants and odors that can cause throat irritation, while cabin HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters eliminate bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Boeing said passengers on the plane would feel like breathing at an altitude of 6,000 feet rather than the atmosphere of 8,000 feet on another plane. This helps reduce jet lag, headaches, and fatigue.

Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner has a sophisticated cockpit equipped with a large multifunction panel display, double head-up display (HUD), dual electronic flight bag and sophisticated fly-by-wire control system. The Dreamliner's unique Smlinother Ride technology presents a "smart sensor" that detects turbulence and is designed to reduce eight-fold motion sickness.

The general core system provides a primary computing environment, and has three main elements, namely processing for avionics and utility application software; remote data concentrators, which greatly reduce the cables needed on the aircraft by using "local connections to sensors and other digital gateways across the aircraft"; and core data networks, which connect CCS with other aircraft systems. The company designs, tests and manufactures CCS at their facilities in Grand Rapids, MI and Cheltenham, England.

Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner Price and Orders

The price of Boeing 787-10 is US$ 325.8M in 2018. The Price reflecting a range of available options and configurations for each model. Configurations and options that may affect price include performance capability, interiors, avionics, fuel capacity, and others.
