Fokker 70 Specs, Interior, Cockpit, and Price – Fokker 70 is a twin passenger aircraft designed and built by the Fokker Aircraft Company (FAC), the Netherlands. This aircraft completed its maiden flight in July 1994 and entered service with Ford Motor Company in October 1994. An advanced version, Fokker 70A was developed to be placed in the US. Fokker 70ER is a long-range model introduced in 1994. Fokker is equipped with an additional fuel tank to carry out long-range missions.

It was built by reducing the length of 100 Fokker aircraft parts by 4.62 m and removing two emergency exits. FAC bankruptcy resulted in the cessation of Fokker 70 production in 1996. The last Fokker 70 shipment occurred in April 1997. A total of 48 Fokker 70s were operated with 15 operators worldwide in November 2009.

The length and diameter of the engine fan ends are 28.6 m and 13.4 m, respectively. The dry weight is 1,422kg.

Fokker 70 can fly with a maximum speed of 856 km / hr. The cruising speed is 800 km / hour. Kiosk speed is 222 km / hr. The range and service ceiling of the aircraft are 2,010 km and 10,668 m respectively.

Fokker 70 has a spacious cabin measuring around 2.9 m and 2 m, and can accommodate 80 passengers in five seating configurations. The cabin area is divided into business class and economy class with enough legroom for passengers on the plane.

Open lower main entrance with 1.92 m width and 0.86 m width and integral stairs facilitate maximum operational flexibility. The cabin is equipped with an LED, an onboard oxygen generating system (OBOGS), and a ventilator.

Fokker 70 features a glass cockpit to accommodate pilots and copilots. Flight decks are equipped with a main flight display (PFD), multifunction display (MFD), navigation display, automatic flight control system (AFCS) and a dual flight management system (FMS).

It also accommodates cockpit voice recorders (CVR), receiver instrument landing systems (ILS), electronic flight instrumentation systems (EFIS), throttles, inertial reference systems (IRS), magnetic radio indicators (RMI) and communication systems addressing and reporting systems (ACARS ) The required navigation performance (RNP 0.3) is also integrated to optimize aircraft to fly on shorter routes.

America West Express acquired two Fokker 70 in 1995.
