Gulfstream G500 Specs, Interior, Cockpit, and Price – The Gulfstream G500 is a high-speed business jet designed and manufactured by Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. The leading jet in this class offers a range of 7,038 km at Mach 0.90. Gulfstream Aerospace launched the G500 at its plant in Savannah, Georgia, USA, with the G600, another aircraft from the same family in 2014. The G500 business jet was displayed at the National Business Association Aviation Aviation Convention & Exhibition in November 2015.

The first flight of the Gulfstream G500 T1 test was completed in May 2015, while the T2 and T3 test aircraft in November 2015 and T4 in February 2016. Gulfstream G500 Specs

The Gulfstream G500 has a default storage baggage on each seat, the G500 luggage compartment offers 175ft 175 of usable volume. This section includes folding shelves and space designed to store golf clubs, ski equipment, and large suitcases.

The aircraft has take-off and landing distances of 5,200 feet and 3,100 feet respectively, while the basic operating weights and maximum take-off weights are 21,137 kg and 34,859 kg respectively.

Gulfstream G500 Engine

The Gulfstream G500 is powered by two PW800 Pratt & Whitney Canada engines, which can produce a maximum thrust of 15,144 lb. The engine offers high fuel efficiency, and reduces emissions, noise levels and maintenance times. They exceed the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards by up to 50% for nitrous oxide and 35% for carbon monoxide emissions.

The G500 can fly with a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.925, with a maximum cruise height of 51,000 feet. A full-fuel G500 aircraft with eight passengers and baggage can reach a distance of 9,260 km at Mach 0.85. This will offer a non-stop range of 8,519 km with maximum payload.

Gulfstream G500 Cabin and Interior

The Gulfstream G500 has a spacious cabin, designed to optimize passenger comfort and aircraft performance. The cabin is 2.41m wide, 12.65m long and 1.93m high, providing enough head and shoulder space for passengers.

This aircraft can accommodate up to 19 passengers, three guest rooms and rest rooms for optional crews, as well as two toilets, one in front and the other behind. Full size cooking rooms can be placed on the front or back of the plane.

Pressurized cab reduces the impact of jet lag, while fresh air flow minimizes fatigue. The cabin is equipped with large oval windows that allow natural light to enter the cabin and the seats are widely placed to provide enough legroom, and also include footrests to lie comfortably.

The Gulfstream G500 cabin is also equipped with a conference table mounted on a pedestal, high-speed communication and entertainment equipment, ensuring comfort in flight.

The passenger experience is further enhanced by a new cabin management system that allows passengers to control the internal environment by adjusting the lighting, temperature, window shades, and entertaining equipment from their seats using a touch screen device.

Gulfstream G500 Cockpit and Avionics

The Gulfstream G500 incorporates a sophisticated Symmetry flight deck, which is equipped with the latest technology, including an active control stick (ACS), integrated touch screen controller, a next generation enhanced vision system (EVS) and Honeywell Primus Epic avionics.

Active stick side controls enhance safety and situational awareness in the cockpit by providing tactile feedback and more space, as well as better comfort for pilots. Electronically connected ACS enables better coordination between pilots and co-pilots, by allowing them to see and feel each other's input controls. The G500 is the first aircraft to have this feature.

Ten integrated and exchangeable touch screen controllers, which replace switches, will be used for flight management, system control, communications, weather checklists and monitoring and flight information.

The third generation enhanced vision system (EVS) improves the view of the pilot in low visibility conditions. EVS includes high-resolution infrared sensors and sophisticated cameras to cover a wider field and provide a clearer view. This is related to the head-up display, which allows the pilot to see clear images in the field of vision.

The Gulfstream G500 also features a full three-axis digital fly-by-wire system that provides envelope protection, stability augmentation, increased redundancy and reduced maintenance. The cockpit is aesthetically attractive with a combination of leather, nickel and glass. In addition, the crew seat is also comfortably designed with hollow skin and ventilated nets, and can shift completely from side to side for easy movement.

Gulfstream G500 Price

The price of the latest Gulfstream G500 is around US $ 45.5 Million.
